If 2025 had a soundtrack, it would be layered. The hum of laptops powering on for the first time. The confident voices of young people pitching bold ideas. Laughter echoing through school halls. And the steady rhythm of a community refusing to stand still after adversity.

This year, For One Child Foundation didn’t just celebrate a milestone. We activated it.

Here’s what your support made possible in 2025.

Expanding Our Mission Across Borders

SATE Program Officially Launched in Worcester, MA

2025 marked a significant milestone with the U.S. launch of the SATE Program: Science, Art, Technology & Entrepreneurship. Designed as more than a camp, SATE became a launchpad for young people to explore hands-on science, digital creativity, technology fundamentals, and entrepreneurial thinking.

Students didn’t just learn. They created. They collaborated. They pitched. And they began to see themselves as problem-solvers, innovators, and future founders.

This launch laid the foundation for what SATE will continue to grow into in 2026 and beyond.

Summer Computer Literacy Program Launched in Portland, Jamaica

In Jamaica, we strengthened our commitment to digital access through the Summer Computer Literacy Program, equipping young people with essential technology skills needed for today’s academic and professional world.

For many students, this program marked their first structured exposure to computers, digital tools, and confidence-building tech instruction. It wasn’t just about learning software. It was about unlocking opportunity.

Removing Barriers to Education

Scholarships Awarded

Education access remained at the heart of our work in 2025. Through donor generosity, scholarships were awarded to support students continuing their academic journeys, helping to ease financial burdens and reaffirm that their dreams matter.

Laptops Distributed

We also distributed laptops to students who needed reliable tools to learn, create, and stay connected. Each laptop represented equity in action. No child should be left behind because they lack access to technology.

Still Standing With Jamaica: Hurricane Melissa Relief Continues

Our work in Jamaica did not end when the storm passed.

With the leadership of Antonette Staple, a longtime volunteer and 2025 For One OG Award Recipient, and the support of committed partners, 275 care packages were distributed across four communities in Westmoreland following Hurricane Melissa.

This relief effort is ongoing. Donations are still accepted throughout the year as we continue supporting rural and remote communities while helping families rebuild with dignity and care.

A Message From Our Executive Director: Yanique Deans

Spreading Holiday Cheer at Moore Town Primary

On December 16, 2025, the For One Child Foundation proudly partnered with Moore Town Primary School as a sponsor for a special Christmas dinner that became a moment of healing and joy.

After months of recovery following Hurricane Melissa, the school hall was transformed into a space filled with warmth, festive lights, and laughter. One young student quietly shared, “It seems like Santa Claus came early because this was what I wanted.”

That moment captured everything we stand for. Being present. Restoring joy. Showing up when it matters most.

Our Executive Director extends deep gratitude to every donor and supporter who helped make this possible. Your kindness keeps hope alive.

When we opened the doors for our first-ever SATE Summer Bootcamp, we knew we’d meet some special young people—but we had no idea an 8-year-old from Jamaica would leave us speechless.

Introducing Khourie-Ann Green, the youngest of our 16 participants and the third-place winner of the 2025 SATE Sharklet Showcase.

Khourie-Ann joined the program while visiting Massachusetts for summer vacation, traveling from Richmond Park Preparatory School in St. Andrew, Jamaica. With her signature sparkle, a sharp mind, and a warm heart, she quickly became a standout in the cohort—not just for her age, but for her confidence, leadership, and unstoppable creativity.

A Natural Tech Innovator

From the very beginning, Khourie-Ann embraced the challenge of building a brand. During our Technology sessions with instructor Jafet Martinez, she dove into AI tools like a pro.

“Khourie-Ann quickly understood the tech concepts and was able to implement her ideas using AI tools. She won our AI prompt competition by getting very specific with her images and descriptions.” – Jafet Martinez

A Confident CEO in the Making

Once Entrepreneurship week kicked off, Khourie-Ann proved that her business acumen was just as bright as her creative eye. With guidance from instructor Paulette Piñero, she mapped out her idea with impressive clarity and heart.

Her business, Khourie-Ann Sparkle & Shine, focuses on designing and selling beautiful, custom jewelry that brings confidence and joy to its wearers. From brand identity to customer engagement, she thought through every detail.

“Throughout the whole program, Khourie-Ann modeled leader behavior, even amongst her older peers. Once she identified her business idea, she was able to explain her customers, how to attract new opportunities, and create loyalty with her brand. During her pitch, she was confident and clearly articulated her vision. It wasn’t a surprise when Khourie-Ann won 2nd place—and all of our hearts.” – Paulette Piñero

(Note: Khourie-Ann placed 3rd at the Sharklet Showcase but made a lasting 1st place impression.)

Building Her Brand

Khourie-Ann didn’t just dream up a business—she built it.

  • Designed her logo

  • Created a website mock-up

  • Designed professional business cards

  • Delivered a confident pitch presentation

🌍 Why It Matters

Khourie-Ann's story is a shining example of what happens when we provide young people with space, support, and tools to build their dreams. Her journey across borders to be part of SATE is more than a summer memory—it’s a signal of the global potential we unlock when we believe in every child’s brilliance.

Khourie-Ann, your sparkle is real. And the world is better because of it.
